Sages & Seekers

Sages & Seekers

Sages & Seekers is currently enrolling participants for their unique intergenerational program benefiting Teens and Older Adults. Connect your teens today!

Through the art of conversation, this program delivers a powerful and positive experience to both generations, while developing empathy and diminishing ageism. During eight, one-hour sessions, Older Adults (“Sages”) and Teens (“Seekers”) come together to foster respectful and transformative connections, combat social isolation, pay tribute to Sages, empower Seekers, and meet the compelling need of both groups to find and share meaning in their lives through reflection and discussion.

This 2-minute overview by the Eisner Foundation describes the experience.

For over ten years, the Sages & Seekers program has been engaging participants across the country in a thoughtful examination of how life is lived and how personal challenges are overcome – powerful work as young adults begin to build their sense of identity and personal independence, and older adults reflect on their experiences and accomplishments and take stock in their contributions to family and community.
