MLK Park Project

Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Park Project

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. recognized the power of service. He famously said, “Everyone can be great because everybody can serve.” The MLK Day of Service event is intended to honor Dr. King’s life and teachings. Volunteers will engage in service projects at select park locations in Simi Valley and/or Oak Park.

Help clean up Oak Canyon Park in Oak Park and other parks in Simi Valley – limited opportunities for family units to work together on Monday, January 18th, beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Projects will be geared towards beautification, restoration, and park enhancement.
