We Welcome You!
Temple Adat Elohim is a welcoming and fulfilling Jewish community embracing those who seek spirituality, knowledge, and a desire to heal the world.
Our goal at TAE is to increase each congregant’s love, understanding, and involvement in Jewish life and living. We strive to build a community that will be there for each other during the highs and lows of life. We have a deeply rooted responsibility to Tikkun Olam to speak about and to address social justice and other issues in the broader community.
Why Temple Adat Elohim?
The Jewish Community – K’lal Yisrael
TAE has over 50 years’ experience as a dynamic and diverse Jewish community in the heart of the Conejo Valley. TAE welcomes all who are interested in joining our community. We were raised in different Jewish denominations or raised without affiliation; raised in other faiths or without religious affiliation; married, single, widowed, interfaith, multiracial, or LGBTQ. We are all ages, abilities, views, and orientations.
We have chosen Judaism and we have chosen Jewish loved ones. We are married, single and widowed, in interfaith and interracial relationships. We are all ages, abilities, races, and orientations. We are together now in one congregation, one extended family. We offer support in times of need, joy in times of celebration, and at all times trust, friendship and community.
We join together now: one congregation, one extended family.
Havurah
Join a Havurah! You will meet people that you didn’t know before and participate in Havurah and temple activities that in the past you didn’t feel comfortable participating in. Getting to know people in a large congregation can be intimidating to some. A Havurah is a special way to become acquainted with others who live nearby and have similar interests.
Brotherhood and Sisterhood
We have an active Brotherhood and Sisterhood group who meet regularly.
When you become a member of Sisterhood you are supporting your own congregation, are aligning yourself with women like yourself throughout the world. You can be part of interest groups such as book groups, movie discussion groups, women’s Torah study, and Mah Jongg. You will be part of the national Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) and Women of Reform Judaism Pacific District.
Brotherhood is committed to hosting fundraising events, raising money to financially support the temple, and making an impact on the cultural and spiritual well-being of our congregation. They foster strong friendships by sponsoring programs such as the Sunday Morning Breakfast Speaker Series, monthly Social nights, weekly Monday evening Torah Study, and a Passover Seder.
Shabbat
At TAE we love to create a sense of community through song and prayer! We offer a variety of Shabbat services every Friday evening. Services are followed by an oneg (dessert reception). TAE’s Band of Milk and Honey and Chorale participate on a monthly basis. All of our services are open to anyone who would like to join us for an enriching and rewarding Shabbat experience. Feel free to join in-person or virtually.
Jewish Education
At TAE we believe that Jewish education begins at the earliest age and continues throughout our lives. Learning is a constant and proactive process in which we are all both students and teachers. Our sacred texts and history lay a foundation for our study as we individually build upon the wisdom of ancient times.

- Preschool & Transitional Kindergarten: 18 months to 6 years old

Torah and all that it encompasses is our tree of life and we continue to nurture its growth for future generations.
