Welcome to Temple Adat Elohim Gallant-Schiff Infant Center!
We know what an important decision this is for our families and we are thrilled you are considering our school and community as a potential fit for your family.
Our infant center runs on a rolling waitlist and typically has a waitlist usually around 1+ year out, so please reach out to tour and be put on the list at least 12 months in advance, before your desired start date.
Our Infant Center has a maximum of 12 babies on any given day. We have created a warm, loving, intimate “home-away-from-home”, with an open door policy for parents to come visit their children anytime. After you drop off in the classroom each morning, you will get updates on your baby’s feeding, diapering, and sleep details, in real time throughout the day, along with photos and videos, through the Brightwheel app. You can also message your teachers via the app anytime, to stay connected!
Once enrollment is complete, you will get a Welcome Info email, with EVERYTHING you need to know before you start, including the calendar, what you need to bring for your child, and all of our procedures and policies for the school year.
Before your child starts you will fill out a questionnaire and come in for an Infant Intake. At the intake, you will go over with the teachers, your child’s likes/dislikes, daily routine/schedule, and all of the important information about your child that they will need.
We have new infants starting all throughout the year, as currently enrolled babies turn 18 months old and move up to the toddler classroom in the ECC, opening a new space in the infant center.
If a space doesn’t open up in our Infant Center, we still invite you to Apply Online for our ECC Program (18 months-6yrs old). You can go ahead and select the school year in which your child would turn 18 months, and note the desired start date at 18months old, so we have you in that candidate pool, for when we pull the applicant list and go over admissions decisions for the ECC. This should be done by March 1 to the school year you are applying for.
ABOUT OUR CENTER
At Temple Adat Elohim ECC & Gallant-Schiff Infant Center, we offer a program grounded in Jewish values such as kindness, compassion, inclusiveness, and respect. We pride ourselves on our low child to teacher ratio and our attention to detail. Our teachers provide individualized attention to each child and follow the routines that parents implement at home. We want the children and their families to think of us as an extension of their home, so we follow individual requests made by the parents. We have an open door policy that allows parents to visit whenever they want, and we welcome you to join us for our all-school Friday morning Shabbat!
Our program provides a warm, nurturing environment, where the babies feel happy, secure, and loved. We aim to create a safe place for children to develop their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and eventually, pre-academic skills, at their own pace, while meeting appropriate developmental milestones. As your child’s teacher, we play a vital role in supporting these areas and have a wide variety of toys and materials to support your child’s learning through through talking, singing, movement, stories, art, and play, that encourage complex exploration, growth, and development. Some of the many skills we will be strengthening are fine motor skills, gross motor skills, language and social skills, cognitive skills, and emotional regulation, while providing tons of love, hugs, and encouragement.
We have a strong home:school connection, and will be sending updates on your baby’s feeding, diapering, and sleep details, in real time, throughout the day, along with lots of photos and videos, through the Brightwheel app, so you get a peek into your child’s day, and to bring a smile to your face, so you don’t miss out on any milestones. You can also message your teachers via the app anytime, to stay connected!
How to Apply
STEP 1: Tour our school
STEP 2: Apply Online*
STEP 3: We will reach out with admissions decisions and more info on availability
*Please note that an application does not guarantee admissions into our school.
*Priority enrollment is given to Temple Adat Elohim currently enrolled students, siblings of enrolled students, TAE ECC alumni/legacy families, and temple members.
*Spaces open up in our infant center when a currently enrolled student turns 18 months old and moves up to the ECC toddler class. On occasion, this timeline is extended if the child needs extra time before moving up to the next class, which would delay your start time. This is not common, but should we need to delay your start time, we will let you know as soon as possible. Until enrollment is complete, no spaces are guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.
