Currently, within the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) there are over 200 children that are considered homeless.
TAE is joining with the Women’s Interfaith Network (WIN) of Conejo Valley to collect school supplies and 150 NEW backpacks to fill for students in grades 6 through10. Please sign up for items that you would like to donate, and then drop them off in the box in the office at TAE by 2pm on July 20.
Then, join us on Wed, Aug 3, 2022 at the Islamic Center of Conejo Valley (ICCV) in their social hall to sort and stuff the backpacks. You must RSVP to volunteer by emailing womensinterfaithnetworkcv@gmail.com. The school district will distribute completed backpacks to these students shortly before school begins, mid-August.
