L’Dough V’Dough

Virtual Volunteer Event

Thursday, March 18th
5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

L’Dough V’Dough (“from generation to generation”) is a collaboration with Holocaust Museum L.A. (formerly LAMOTH), connecting community members and survivors and passing on stories from one generation to the next. This year, our Los Angeles survivor community has pivoted to virtual storytelling, and we invite you to make your own challah on the day of, keeping the tradition of L’Dough V’Dough alive even while apart.

Join us and Holocaust Museum L.A. to make challah and hear unforgettable stories from local survivors.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and NuRoots are proud to partner with Repair the World on Serve the Moment. Serve the Moment combines virtual volunteering, in-person service and national service campaigns around specific issues during the year.

You can follow along with this video, which includes instructions on preparing dough and the meaning and symbolism behind each ingredient. Written instructions available here.

This experience is part of Collective Escape 2021, NuRoots’ annual festival exploring and reimagining Passover.
