During July, temple members of members of other faith communities donated materials to make 350 backpacks for children whose families are supported by the efforts of Lutheran Social Services. This project of the Women’s Interfaith Network culminated at temple on August 7th when approximately 75 people, young and old, from a variety of faith communities came together to stuff the 250 backpacks for the elementary and middle school students. St. Judes of Westlake added the 100 high school backpacks.
