We helped children celebrate their birthdays at school.
We collected items to make birthday bags on Mitzvah Day. Some local children cannot afford to bring a treat to school to celebrate their birthday. With your help, we created 35 birthday bags on Mitzvah Day that were distributed to children who do not have the means to bring a cake or cupcakes to school on their special day.
Items we collected:
- Box Cake Mix (35)
- Can of Frosting (35)
- Bag of cookies/crackers (35)
- Box of Birthday Candles (35)
- Bag of Halloween Candy – 35 bags with 30-50 pieces/bag (1 bag will go in each of the 35 birthday bags)
- Fun pencil or pen – 35 Sets of 30-35 (1 for each student in the class)
- Small toys – 35 Sets of 30-35 (1 for each student in the class)
- Balloons – 350 total (We’ll put 10 in each bag)
