Donate a pair of shoes to a child in need.
Donate a new pair of shoes to a child in CVUSD who is considered unhoused
Many children do not have shoes that fit them, or the shoes that they have are old and worn. Some of these children have always received hand me downs or thrift store shoes. The shoes you donate might be a child’s first pair of new shoes.
The TAE chapter of Shoes that Fit was formed in the fall of 2017. Through Shoes That Fit, donors are given a child’s name, their shoe size and the type of shoe needed. They then purchase a pair of shoes and drop them off at temple. The shoes are delivered to the child through their school.
Currently, there are approximately 250 children in the Conejo Unified School District who are considered unhoused. TAE will be providing shoes to these children.
Here is how you can help:
- By February 28, 2023, sign up to commit to purchase a pair of shoes so we can tell the coordinator how many children we will be able to help HERE.
- The CVUSD Outreach Coordinator will then be measuring the children’s feet and send us a list of the children including their names and shoe sizes.
- After signing up, you will get an email in early-mid March asking you to select a child for whom you would like to buy shoes.
- After you have selected the child, purchase the shoes and bring them to the donation box located in the TAE mail office by March 22.
- The shoes will be delivered to the children in early April.
