On January 31st, over 60 TAE and community members came together in the Social Hall to learn how to stop life threatening bleeding and perform sidewalk (compression only) CPR. Thank you to the trauma departments of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Los Robles Hospital and to American Medical Response for providing the instructors and equipment.
Participants learned how to do compression only CPR. They also learned how to stop life threatening bleeding through the use of tourniquets and wound packing. While we all hope that none of the evening’s participants will ever need to use their new knowledge, we appreciate their willingness to come out and learn these skills for the benefit of others in our community.
