Shoes That Fit

Temple Adat Elohim helps kids step forward in ‘Shoes That Fit.’

👟 Donate a new pair of shoes to a child in the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) who is housing insecure by March 12, 2026.Click here to sign up >>

Many children wear shoes that are too small, too worn, or have never had a brand-new pair of their own. Your donation could provide a child with their first pair of new shoes, and with it, a sense of hope, dignity, and joy.

📈 Impact of a New Pair of Shoes:

  • 87% increase in self-esteem
  • 70% increase in physical activity
  • 56% improved behavior

Currently, approximately 625 children in CVUSD are considered housing insecure.

🙌 TAE is proud to partner with the district through our Shoes That Fit program, established in 2017.

Donors receive a child’s name, shoe size, and shoe type, then buy a new pair and drop them off at the temple. The shoes are subsequently delivered to the child through their school.

How it Works:

  1. SIGN UP: Sign up to commit to purchasing a pair of shoes by March 12, 2026.
  2. SIZING: The CVUSD Outreach Coordinator will measure students and share their names and shoe sizes.
  3. SELECT: You’ll receive an email inviting you to choose a child to shop for by the week of March 16.
  4. DROP OFF: Purchase and drop off the shoes in the designated bin at the TAE boardroom (in the foyer) by April 13
