Our Mission
The Social Action Committee at Temple Adat Elohim is dedicated to fostering understanding, compassion, and action to address local, national, and global human needs.
We believe in the power of community to bring about change. Our Social Action Committee lives the Jewish value of tikkun olam, repairing the world, through meaningful programs, social justice initiatives, and hands-on acts of kindness.
Whether responding to urgent challenges or creating lasting impact, we work together to support individuals and families in need and to promote justice, equity, and compassion in our community and beyond.
How You Can Get Involved
There are many ways to participate in Jewish social action at Temple Adat Elohim:
- Volunteer – Join us in hands-on mitzvah projects throughout the year.
- Donate – Support initiatives that provide direct assistance to those in need.
- Advocate – Help us raise awareness and promote justice in our community and beyond.
Ongoing Social Action Projects
- Food Drives – Supporting local families facing food insecurity through regular collections and distributions.
- Community Service Days – Hands-on opportunities for individuals and families to make an immediate impact.
- Social Justice Advocacy – Promoting policies that align with Jewish values of justice, dignity, and compassion.
