More Ways to Make a Difference
Your donation helps sustain and grow our TAE community. Whether you give to a specific fund or support a special initiative, every contribution strengthens our temple and its mission. Choose the giving opportunity that’s most meaningful to you.
Annual Campaign/General Fund
Donations to the Annual Campaign help Temple Adat Elohim fulfill its core value of Tikkun Olam—healing and repairing the world—by supporting and enriching our community. These contributions assist with the Temple’s general operating expenses, including scholarships and financial assistance for TAE families in need. Annual Campaign donations also count toward Pillar Circle recognition.
Security Fund
The safety and well-being of our community are top priorities at Temple Adat Elohim. As security needs continue to grow, so do the associated costs. Donations to the Security Fund help offset expenses that exceed our general operating budget, including professional security personnel, safety upgrades, emergency preparedness, and security technology. Your support helps ensure that TAE remains a welcoming and secure space for all who come to pray, learn, and gather.
Eugene R. Marks Memorial Property Reserve Fund
Also known as the Chai Reserve Fund, this fund supports essential facility maintenance and improvement projects that go beyond the scope of the general operating budget. Donations help ensure that our campus remains safe, functional, and welcoming for our entire community today and for generations to come.
Music and Choir Fund
Also known as the Chai Reserve Fund, this fund supports essential facility maintenance and improvement projects that go beyond the scope of the general operating budget. Donations help ensure that our campus remains safe, functional, and welcoming for our entire community today and for generations to come.
Social Action General Fund
Donations to the Social Action General fund help underwrite the many Social Action programs at Temple Adat Elohim, which raise awareness and engage our community in meeting the needs of others, both within the Jewish world and the broader community. These efforts include our annual Mitzvah Day and year-round support for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Many Mansions, Safe Passage Youth, Manna Conejo Food Pantry, Ronald McDonald House, and more. The fund also supports programs like Club Chesed for families and our semi-annual blood drives.
If, in the future, this fund is no longer needed for its original purpose, any remaining balance will be transferred to the Temple’s contingency fund to support emerging needs. For more information, please contact socialaction@adatelohim.com.
Social Action General Fund
Donations to this fund help underwrite the annual Christmas Day holiday dinner hosted by Temple Adat Elohim. Thanks to the generous support of our members, local vendors, and dedicated volunteers, we provide a hot meal, festive atmosphere, music, and holiday gifts to approximately 250 guests each year. What began in the early 1990s as the vision of a single congregant has grown into a joyful and meaningful tradition, offering warmth and community to those who may not have a place to go on Christmas Day.
In the unlikely event this program is discontinued, any remaining funds will be redirected to the Social Action General Fund to continue supporting meaningful TAE social action initiatives.
Youth Program Fund
This fund supports our youth department by providing scholarships for events, Jewish camps, and Israel programs. Your donation helps ensure that all TAE youth can participate fully in the programs and activities that strengthen their Jewish identity, build community, and create lasting memories, regardless of financial circumstances.
Past Presidents’ Educational Endowment Fund
This endowment supports bringing guest speakers and enriching educational programs to our congregation. Each program sponsored through this fund honors the legacy and leadership of our past presidents, continuing their commitment to lifelong learning at Temple Adat Elohim.
