Following the workshops, enjoy a piano-violin concert by Anna Kovaleva, a gifted pianist known for her expressive artistry, joined by her mother, professional violinist Elena Kovaleva. Please let us know if you plan to attend the concert here.

Meet Anna Kovaleva
Anna Kovaleva is a talented pianist whose journey from Moscow to California is a testament to resilience and determination. Despite the challenges of fleeing her homeland due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, Anna has continued to excel in her musical career and education. Now a senior at California State University, Northridge, she is proud to share her accomplishments and passion for music. For a sample of her outstanding talent, click here

  • Began playing piano as a child and was accepted into Russia’s most prestigious Music Conservatory.
  • Currently studying piano performance under Professor Dmitry Rachmanov at CSUN.
  • Winner of several international piano competitions, showcasing her talent on global stages.
  • Comes from a family of musicians—her mother, Elena Kovaleva, is a professional violinist.
  • Collaborates with her mother in concerts, creating memorable piano-violin duos.
  • Adjusted to life in the U.S. by learning English and integrating into a new community.
  • Dreams of becoming a professional musician while sharing her story of hope and perseverance.

Meet Elena Kovaleva
Elena Kovaleva is a professional violinist with extensive experience in symphony orchestras in Russia. In addition to her performance career, she is a dedicated private music teacher, sharing her expertise and passion for music with her students. As the mother of pianist Anna Kovaleva, she frequently collaborates with her daughter, creating memorable piano-violin performances that showcase their exceptional talent and deep musical connection.Please let us know if you plan to attend the concert!
