About Never Forget
Stories that must be told. Voices that must be heard.
Written and compiled by local Agoura Hills eighth grader, Charlie Seigel, Never Forget brings Holocaust stories to life through moving monologues and scenes from Holocaust literature, paired with reflections on antisemitism today.
What makes this performance so powerful is that the stories are told through the voices of children who lived through the Holocaust, brought to life by Jewish young actors, including our very own TAE partner and 2024 bat mitzvah, 14-year-old Madelyn Friedman!
Featuring: Isabella Campbell, Madelyn Friedman, Olivia Liff, and Charlie Seigel
From bat mitzvah project to stories never forgotten.
Never Forget began as Charlie Seigel’s bat mitzvah project for her Calabasas synagogue, with the hope of creating something deeply personal and meaningful. She brought in three friends who attend school in the Conejo Valley: middle school students Olivia and Isabella, and TAE partner and high school student Madelyn.
All four young actresses have been accomplished on stages across the Conejo Valley, and while they have all been part of much larger productions, this one is the most impactful.
Inspired by her great-grandparents, Abram and Ester Dancygier (both Holocaust survivors), and committed to ensuring their stories and those of many others are never forgotten, Charlie created this powerful stage production that has gone on to support Holocaust education, specifically giving back to the Holocaust Museum L.A. during the first run of Never Forget in May 2025.
Powerful performance. Meaningful Q&A.
This 40-minute performance, followed by a brief Q&A, invites us to remember, to reflect, and to confront antisemitism in a way that inspires dialogue, connection, and hope for the future.
