Adult Group Study Session 1The U.S. and the Holocaust
1:00 – 2:15 p.m.

The U.S. and the Holocaust is a new PBS three-part, six-hour series directed and produced by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick and Sarah Botstein, that explores America’s response to one of the greatest humanitarian crises of the 20th century.

We will discuss America’s role in the Nazi Holocaust. What did we do? What did we know? Does racism play a role in our policies towards racism and refugee? This discussion will be based upon the six-hour Ken Burns documentary, The U.S. and the Holocaust, combining the first-person accounts of Holocaust witnesses and survivors and interviews with leading historians and writers.
