A New Path for Jewish Teens: Identity, Leadership, and College Readiness
Temple Adat Elohim’s Jewish teen program offers students in grades 8–12 a meaningful path to deepen their Jewish identity, build lasting friendships, and develop the leadership skills and real-world tools they need to thrive in college and beyond.
Meeting on selected Tuesdays from 6:00 PM–8:00 PM, the program blends community, Jewish learning, mentorship, and life-skills development in a warm and supportive environment—bringing teens together for connection, growth, and real-world preparation.
Teen Program Schedule & Experience
Evening Schedule
The program takes place at Temple Adat Elohim on select Tuesdays from 6:00–8:00 PM.
Teens will:
- Enjoy a catered dinner provided by TAE from 6:00–6:30 PM
- Engage in meaningful conversations from 6:30–7:30 PM
- Support upcoming b’nei mitzvah students from 7:30–8:00 PM
Meaningful Engagements
Providing experiences that support friendships and peer connections through meaningful discussions.
Students will:
- Build friendships and strengthen peer connections through shared experiences.
- Engage in meaningful conversations facilitated by educators and specialists.
- Deepen critical-thinking skills while enhancing Jewish identity and personal growth.
- Students will build confidence and develop a strong sense of purpose.
College & Life Readiness
At the end of their five-year program, students will be prepared to enter college with tools to combat antisemitism, deepen their critical thinking, develop personal meaning, and provide a strong foundation for success in the diverse and intellectually rigorous college environment—all through a Jewish lens.
Students will:
- Students develop tools to recognize and respond to antisemitism.
- Deepen their personal meaning and Jewish identity.
- Build strong critical-thinking skills.
- Gain confidence for college-level expectations.
- Learn to thrive in diverse college environments.
Teen Tutoring & Leadership
Students may join our 7th graders as b’nei mitzvah tutors to earn community service hours, or they can apply to our Madrichim program for hourly pay.
Students may:
- Tutor 7th graders to help them prepare for their b’nei mitzvah.
- Earn community service hours for tutoring.
- Apply to the Madrichim program for hourly pay.
This holistic teen program helps students grow as confident, thoughtful, and connected Jewish young adults.
