Celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut and Israel with a unique and uplifting Shabbat experience. This isn’t our typical Musical Shabbat. Our amazing TAE Chorale and Band of Milk & Honey will fill the Sanctuary with music by Israeli composers and songs that celebrate the spirit of Israel. Help Set Up Ventura County’s First Homeless Shelter!
Temple Adat Elohim has been invited by Many Mansions toassemble and set up furniture at Thrive Grove, East Ventura County’s first homeless shelter tomorrow, Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Volunteers will assist with unpacking, assembling, and staging IKEA furniture in preparation for the shelter’s opening. This is a meaningful, hands-on way to support individuals transitioning out of homelessness.
Shift Details: 🕘 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and/or 🕐 1:00 PM–4:00 PM

Project Information:
Thrive Grove, East Ventura County’s first homeless shelter, has officially completed construction and will soon welcome 30 participants on their journey toward permanent housing. This landmark initiative, led by the City of Thousand Oaks, has been featured in numerous local news stories. To learn more, check out this video or read this VC Reporter article.
Please note: This project may involve lifting up to 25 lbs, sitting on the ground, and assembling furniture. IKEA staff will be on hand to assist.
