Dr. Steven J. Ross: Professor of History at the University of Southern California –

Topic: Hitler in America – How Jews Foiled Nazi Plots Against Hollywood and America

Steven J. Ross is Professor of History at USC. The first person in his family to go to college, Steve received his B.A. from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Philosophy from Oxford University, and a PhD from Princeton University, where he worked with famed historians Arthur Link and James McPherson. Professor Ross has written extensively in the areas of working-class history, social history, and film history.  He’ll discuss his latest book which explores the activities of a Jewish spy ring that operated from 1933 to 1945 and worked to foil Nazi plots against Hollywood and America.

The event begins with a brunch that includes fruit, yogurt, granola, lox, bagels, cream cheese, and other tasty goodies.  To help defray the cost of the brunch, we suggest a donation of $5.  Professor Ross will begin his presentation at about 9:45 AM.
