The New Israeli Government: Views from Israel and Elsewhere
Our Own Alan Greenbaum, Rabbi Emeritus of TAE!
The newly-elected Israeli government is the most controversial in the 75 year history of the state. Based on Rabbi Greenbaum’s recent visit to Israel along with his own reading, he will address these and other questions:
What is the feeling on the street regarding the government?
Who are the central figures and what are they doing/saying?
How did this all come about?
And finally, the question that Rabbi Greenbaum’s mother always asked of matters ranging from current affairs to the L.A. Dodger pitching lineup: Will this be good for the Jews or bad for the Jews?

Weekend retreats provide a unique opportunity for Jewish living. In a safe and carefully constructed environment, our students will have the chance to freely express their Jewish identity, to make new Jewish friends, and to realize that Jewish identity is a privilege and an opportunity.
We hope that your 4th – 6th grader will attend this retreat weekend filled with fun, new and old friends, the great outdoors, ropes course, camp-style Shabbat, singing, engaging Judaic programs, arts and crafts and much more.
The retreat will be held at Camp Alonim in Simi Valley. NO transportation will be provided since we are close enough to drive there.
ARRIVAL TIME: 5:45 pm on Friday, February 24
PICK UP TIME: 11:00 am on Sunday, February 26
The cost for the retreat weekend is $165.00 per camper which includes food, lodging, and supervision.

Allison David, the Associate Camp Director, will serve as the Director for this weekend. Please make every effort to encourage your child to share in this experience.

Cost: $15 for members, $20 for non youth group members Cost includes snacks, entry and chaperons
You can request up to two friends to be grouped with your child. Carolyn will do her best to accommodate your request. Groups will be announced on January 23, so our kids can talk to each other about how they want to dress up in an Alice in Wonderland theme. There will be contests for costumes and group participation!
