Assemble CarePacks for the Homeless – Sponsored by Sisterhood
Make a positive impact on hundreds of homeless in southern California in just one afternoon! How? Join TAE Sisterhood to volunteer with Hope Mill—a wonderful organization committed to the care of our area’s homeless.
Hope Mill is a non-profit organization that distributes street-ready CarePacks for the homeless in southern California. Volunteers will work together in assembly line style to fill backpacks with daily life necessities such as food, water, and basic self-care toiletries. Chairs will be provided as needed. With your help, a whole month’s worth of CarePacks will be ready for those in need in just a few hours!
Who: Open to all ages—a wonderful family event that will include music and snacks to keep everyone energized, feeling good, and having fun!
Where: Hope Mill Assembly Center, 8158 Orion Avenue, Van Nuys—near Roscoe and the 405 freeway. Carpools will be available at TAE no later than 11 a.m. on event day.
Item of the Month: Each volunteer this month is asked to bring DEODORANT (“gender-neutral,” please—suitable for male or female). Thank you!

Therapeutic Yoga Night
Therapeutic yoga is for everyone and you don’t have to twist yourself into a pretzel to do it. You can be on the floor, a chair, or even a wheelchair. Join certified yoga therapy instructor Kathleen Ebert in the TAE Social Hall for an evening of movement, stretching, and relaxation.There will be a $5 charge. Everyone is welcome.
