ABOUT EREV ROSH HASHANAH – Erev Rosh Hashanah, the eve of the Jewish New Year, marks the beginning of the Ten Days of Repentance, leading up to Yom Kippur. This is a time for self-examination, seeking forgiveness, and setting resolutions for the upcoming year. This is both a solemn and celebratory time, setting the tone for the days of introspection and renewal that follow. Traditionally, families get together for dinner and enjoy symbolic foods like apples dipped in honey, representing hopes for a sweet new year.
