As the organizer, you choose the group’s focus, when and where you’ll meet, and how the group will be run. You can facilitate each gathering yourself or encourage members to share in leading the discussions or activities. It’s your group, your choice.

Birds, Bees, and Blessings is a small group for nature lovers, curious learners, and anyone who enjoys slowing down to notice the wonders of creation. Together we explore the fascinating world of birds through birding outings, identification, and observation, while occasionally learning about bees, pollinators, and their vital role in our ecosystem. Along the way, we reflect on the beauty, wisdom, and blessings found in the natural world. No experience is necessary, just a sense of curiosity and appreciation for nature.

The Israel Reading Table
This short-term book group will explore Israel through three powerful works of fiction, autobiography, and non-fiction: Songs of the Brokenhearted, A Tale of Love and Darkness, and The Genius of Israel. In coordination with the History of Israel group, we will use these books to deepen our understanding of Israeli history, identity, culture, and the stories that shape the modern State of Israel.

Let’s Go to Broadway
Feed your Broadway addiction! This group will plan a trip to New York to see four Broadway shows in just a few days. Come for the big dreams, bright lights, and unforgettable experiences.

Brushing Up
Brushing Up invites you to set aside time for the simple joy of painting with others. We’ll meet in homes and occasionally venture out to local settings for inspiration, using watercolor outdoors and acrylics indoors. Whether you’re experienced or just curious, this group is about creativity, companionship, and making space for art in everyday life.

Zachor, meaning “remember,” is a small group for exploring family genealogy and the stories that shape who we are. Together, we will learn how to trace our roots, share family memories, preserve meaningful discoveries, and honor the generations who came before us.

Learn to sign selected Shabbat service prayers along with other meaningful signs of Jewish and community interest. This small group offers a welcoming way to connect prayer, movement, and inclusive communication.

A Bisl Yiddish is a friendly, no-pressure small group for anyone curious about Yiddish. We’ll explore the warmth and wit of learning colorful phrases, humor, and food. No prior Yiddish needed, just curiosity and a willingness to say “nu?” with feeling.

The Balabusta Kitchen: Cook Together, Host Together, and Celebrate Shabbat Together
A relaxed small group for people who enjoy cooking, eating, and connecting with others. Each gathering will include preparing food together, sharing recipes and stories, and enjoying the meal as a community. No advanced cooking experience needed, just curiosity, openness, a willingness to share a favorite recipe, and an appetite.

Three Digit Golf
Three Digit Golf is a relaxed golf group for people who enjoy the game even when it doesn’t love us back. We’ll gather for friendly rounds, fresh air, laughter, and the occasional surprisingly decent shot. Skill level is not the point. Good company is. Our expectations are low, our scores are high, and our sense of humor is essential.
