Donate a pair of shoes to a
child in need.
Many low income children wear hand me down shoes that do not fit correctly. What a gift it is to be able to provide a child with a new pair of shoes. The TAE chapter of Shoes that Fit was formed in the fall of 2017 with a Mitzvah Day kickoff. Through Shoes That Fit, TAE members can provide a new pair of shoes to a child at a designated Oxnard school. Donors are given a child’s name, their shoe size and the type of shoe needed. They then purchase a pair of shoes and drop them off at temple. The shoes are delivered to the child through their school.
Thank you to all of the donors who purchased new shoes prior to our 2019 Mitzvah Day on November 17. The lives of 25 children were enriched by your donations.
Our next Shoes That Fit donation will take place in the spring of 2020. Watch the TAE weekly email and the monthly Social Action Newsletter for more information.
