25th Annual Community Holiday Dinner

Wednesday, December 25

11:30am – 2 pm in the Social Hall

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the community holiday dinner on Christmas Day. Temple Adat Elohim is happy to sponsor and host this annual tradition. Serving approximately 250 meals, this dinner is a place for those who might otherwise be alone on Christmas Day, or who might not have the means to put together a Christmas Dinner. Through the generosity of many in our community, we provide a nourishing, festive dinner.
The dinner is open to all members of the community, regardless of religious affiliation. It is held at Temple Adat Elohim from 11:30am – 2:00pm, Wednesday, December 25th and community members are welcome to drop in at any time during those hours.
It takes many volunteers to put on the dinner each year. Space is limited and all volunteers must sign up in advance. Walk in volunteers cannot be accommodated due to space limitations.

Where should you park when you come to volunteer?
Please park at Dean Triggs School behind Temple Adat Elohim (connected by a staircase) or on a side street in a legal area. Do not park in the Temple lot as we would like to reserve all of these spaces for our guests. Please enter through the doors of the foyer where indicated, and check in at the volunteer check-in station prior to the beginning your shift.

How can I bring some additional joy to our guests?
Please donate Toys / Stuffed Animals / Books – All volunteers are invited to donate a new, unwrapped toy, stuffed animal, or book (new or used in good condition) to give away to children at the dinner (please, no clothes). These items can be dropped off in the temple office until 12/20.
