Who is Who is "The Biblical Woman"?
April 3rd, April 18th and April 27th - 7:00 to 8:30pm - Temple Sanctuary

She is righteous and wicked , a military heroine and subservient chattel, a victim of rape and a perpetrator of violence. She is dependent on man and manipulator of man. She is prophet and prostitute, she is midwife and murderer. She is poet and songstress and ....mother of all living. Explore the many manifestations of biblical woman. What will emerge is a complex and ever- evolving image that defies common stereotypes.


April 3rd: Lessons from the Biblical Women: Sarah, Rebecca and Hannah - The Barren Woman. Explore how these Biblical Women faced brokenness and despair and learn how they strove to empower themselves and the Jewish people. Taught by Soferet Linda Coppleson


April 18th: Lessons from the Biblical Women: Rebecca, Tamar and Ruth - Subservient Chattel or Forces to be reckoned with? Explore how these Biblical Women faced their upbringing, their circumstances, and struggled, and how they found purpose and power in their lives. Taught by Rabbi Lisa Bock


May 4th: Lessons from the Biblical Women: Sarah and Hagar, Leah and Rachel - Can't we just get along? Explore how these Biblical Women struggled for children, power, recognition, and love. Were their actions those that we should emulate? Who do we admire? Who do we fear? Taught by Rabbi Lisa Bock

Walk to End Genocide
Sunday, May 7th from 12:00pm-2:00pm - Thousand Oaks Civic Center

Now is the time to sign up for the Walk to End Genocide! Please visit the link below to sign up. We are team Adat Elohim. Money raised goes to Jewish World Watch (JWW). In the twelve years since its founding by Rabbi Harold Schulweis, JWW has raised over $12.5 million for on the ground projects that give aid to survivors in Sudan and Congo. Bring a picnic lunch and meet the TAE team at 11:15am.

Whiskey and Wisdom

Golf Golf Club
1st and 3rd Mondays - Westlake Golf Course

Our TAE Golf Group gets together on the first and third Mondays of each month at the Westlake Golf Course. Tee time is 8:15am. All skill levels are welcome to participate. For those interested, we enjoy a lunch together afterwards at a local restaurant and discuss our round.
