Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service
Wednesday, November 25th at 7:00pm at Temple Adat Elohim

Please join us for our Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service featuring clergy from almost 20 different faith communities and music by the Interfaith Choir, Temple Adat Elohim’s Symphony Orchestra and Youth Choirs.

At this service, we will be collecting the following goods for Baby2Baby: Diapers & Wipes, Formula & Baby Food, New or gently used clothing (ages 0-12), Maternity Clothes, Especially needed items include warm blankets & socks.

Baby2Baby provides low-income children ages 0-12 with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that every child deserves.Donations to support LSS Community Care will also be collected during service.

LSS Community Care, formally known as Lutheran Social Services, operates programs and services, such as the Conejo Valley Meal & Winter Shelter, Homeless 2 Home and provides short-term emergency assistance.
This service will be followed by a pie reception, to volunteer for this service or to provide a pie, please sign up using the link below.

Annual Chanukah Dinner & Party
Wednesday, December 9th from 6:30 - 9:00pm

The TAE Seniors will be hosting the annual Chanukah dinner party this year! There will be a group Chanukah candle lighting, a delicious dinner catered by Cielo Catering, including brisket, salmon on a plank, lots of latkes, and the talented “Mark Rosen— Singing and Swingin” for our entertainment pleasure. B.Y.O.B. The costs is $30 per Temple member; $33 for each non-member. Reservations for groups will be honored by contacting Stan Steinberg at 805-376-0422. This annual event is open to all! Come and join the fun, as well as enjoy a delicious holiday meal!

Hanukkah Happy Hour Featuring Latkes, Babkas and Vodkas
Friday, December 11, 2015 at 6:30pm

Please join us for our family-friendly holiday event 'Hanukkah Happy Hour featuring Latkes, Babkas and Vodkas'. Enjoy a variety of delicious latkes with all the fixings. Bring your own wine or sample some of our own. Oneg will include our annual sufganiyot (jelly donuts), mouth-watering babkas and Hanukkah cookies. This is a FREE event for everyone. Please RSVP no later than Wednesday, 12/9 at 10:00am to ensure we have enough latkes for this event. Note: This event is a nosh, not a dinner. We look forward to another exciting event and opportunity for everyone to connect with our temple community.

Menorah Menorah Lighting
Sunday, December 13th at 6:00pm at the Oaks Mall

Come join us for hot chocolate as we light the menorah at the Oaks Mall with performances by TAE adult choir, Shirei Elohim junior choir, and the Band of Milk & Honey. This event will take place by the fire pit in the outside portion of the mall. Stores surrounding area include, Level 1 Forever 21, Paw Works, American Eagle, and T-Mobile.

“An Ounce of Prevention”
Monday, February 8th at 7:00pm

Presented by Pattie Fitzgerald, this program is for parents, teachers, and caregivers who will learn how to talk to kids about safety in an empowering way including a Q&A session.

“Who’s In Charge?”
Monday, April 4th at 7:00pm

Bette Levy Alkazian returns for the final parent education evening of the year. Presentation will include information and answers to common parenting questions as well as addressing ways to solve conflicts and parent with confidence. No charge.

At Temple Adat Elohim education is very important to us! We are offering adult education continuously. You can find, Seasons Of Mussar, guest lecturers, Jewish Genealogical Society, Talmud study and Torah study. That's not all!

Single Mingle Adat Elohim Temple Adult Group!
Future Dates TBD

With the great success of Youth Group, it's time for us “Grown Ups” to join in on the fun. TAE has started an "Adult Group." Adult Group is designed to bring together groups of adults with like interests such as cycling, yoga, hiking, and boot camp-type workouts.

We are looking for instructors for “Boot Camp Workout” and Yoga classes and someone to lead the bicycling group if you know someone who would like to volunteer their time please have them contact us. If you have an activity that you enjoy please email us your idea, if there is enough interest we will start a new sign up list for it. Please email to TAE Adult Group if you have any questions or ideas for activities.
