Prayers and Songs

"Blessings always call attention to what might otherwise be passed over as routine."
- Rabbi Elliott Dorff

Opportunities to create holiness are everywhere. At Temple Adat Elohim one way we accomplish this is through prayer, both personal and communal. Prayer allows us to elevate what seems to be normal, everyday moments and experience them as true holiness. Every note sung or played, every harmony created, every clapping hand or dancing child is an acknowledgment of the power of community and the power of the prayer we create together.

Please browse the songs and prayers most commonly heard at Temple Adat Elohim on the left. Each prayer includes the English, transliteration, and Hebrew. In addition, many of the prayers can be listened to online.
