Rosh Chodesh - Kislev
Monday, December 5th at 7:00 pm

At the home of Paula Kraft, 2870 Evesham Avenue, Thousand Oaks.

Women of all ages are invited to join us in welcoming the new moon and the new month of Kislev at our Rosh Chodesh program. As the holiday season approaches, we think of gifts even though Chanukah is not meant to be a gift-giving holiday. As the season approaches we will discuss "gifts" both material and spiritual that we can share with those we love.

Chanukah Party Sisterhood Chanukah Party
Monday, December 19th at 6:30 pm

An evening filled with friends, good food, mitzvah cake, and song. At the home of Gerri Wissot, 2788 Rainfield Avenue, Westlake Village. Gate code will be provided when you RSVP.

We will be collecting $10 (or more) CASH donations for a needy TAE family to make their holiday a happier one. If you can't attend the party but would like to make a donation, please send a check to the temple, payable to TAE Sisterhood, Attention: Sisterhood Social Action.

Potluck: Last Name A-I: Appetizer • J-R: Salad/Side dish • S-Z: Dessert. Dairy/pareve dishes, please—No meat, pork, or shellfish. LATKES WILL BE PROVIDED!

A Woman of Valor One-Day Mah Jongg Tournament
Sunday, January 15th, 9 am to 4:15 pm

Come Join the Fun and Bring Your Friends! $36 tournament fee per person includes a continental breakfast, delicious buffet lunch, and snacks. Bring your Mah Jongg card.

A Woman of Valor Operation Gratitude
Monday, January 23rd at 7:00 pm in the Social Hall

This Social Action event will begin with a speaker from Operation Gratitude, followed by tables set up where we'll make simple scarves and write letters to the troops and veterans.

We are requesting that anyone who attends brings a donation of socks (black, brown, or green—no white), hand or foot warmers, pocket-sized spiral note pads, travel-sized board games, or other items found on the "wish list" at operationgratitude.com. Knitters and crocheters can check the website for homemade hat and scarf requirements.

Join us as we explore our ancient texts through a woman's lens. Led by Marcy Goldberg and Rabbi Straus (the latter generally on the last Thursday of the month). No prior experience is necessary.
